Finalist – Elite Female Para Cyclist of the Year

Congratulations to Carol Cooke who was selected as one of three finalists vying for the title of Elite Female Para Cyclist of the Year at the Australian Cycling Awards held last Friday evening in Sydney.

Carol received this nomination after recently swapping from rowing to cycling and going on to win two silver medals at the World Road Para Cycling Championships, September 2011.  During the evening, Carol shared cycling stories with Cadel Evans who walked up to her and said “Yes, I know what it feels like to come 2nd”.  Carol also met track specialist, Anna Meares.
