Helen Kelly joins the Development and Coaching Commission

Helen will be attending all the Junior Selection races this year, as well as a number of elite road races, so feel free to come and talk to her about your ideas, queries, etc and she will take them to the commision on your behalf.

CycleSport Victoria is pleased to announce the Development and Coaching Commission.

The Commission will provide support and advice for the CSV Development department with the aim of increasing participation in cycling, plus how to explore development opportunities in school & introductory programs, club development activities, coach and official development, and talent development.

More specifically, the Development and Coaching Commission will discuss issues such as:

• Coaching and training accreditation
• Club coach development opportunities
• Introduction and implementation of coaching forums
• CycleSkill’s and Level 1 coaching courses
• Accreditation of new coaches
• Liaison with Talent Identification and development programs
• Junior development camps, programs and initiatives
• Victorian squad formation, development and training
• Relationship development with regional programs
• Participation growth opportunities – schools and clubs with a diverse range of community groups
• School cycling competitions and programs

And CycleSport Victoria is pleased with the calibre of names that will sit on the Commission headed by Andrew Moffat.
