Stage 5 – North Boulder Park Criterium

With only a 45 minute criterium remaining, we were confident we were able to defend the yellow jersey.  was technical with 9 corners, hilly and in the end, unfairly

I took over the lead towards the end of the 2^nd lap and strung it out through the start/finish line.  On the gradual incline before the first right hand corner, Chrissy Ruiter (Basis) attacked with Kim Anderson (Tmobile) on her wheel followed by Katrina.  The remaining 20 riders were in a single line and I squeezed into 8^th wheel.

And now that my season is finished, I have returned home and am enjoyed life in Melbourne.  It is so nice being home and not being on the road for a while.  I am about to take a short break from the bike, during which time, I will return to KPMG for a brief period.  In mid October I will start my base training in my preparation for the 2005 season.
