McLane Pacific Cycling Classic – 22^nd March

Each lap was 0.8 mile long.  It was a anit clockwise circuit in a figure

The early primes on laps 2,3 and 4 were for $100, $50 and $25, respectively.  Laura Van Gilder (Saturn) jumped on the 2^nd lap in preparation of the $50 prime.  I went with her and she led the entire lap with me just sitting on.  I came around her towards the line but she still had enough to dig and hold me off for the prime – impressive stuff!

Joan and I featured in a few early moves but most breaks were quickly reabsorbed.

A break of 3 went early but they never got more than 15 seconds on the peloton.  With 8 laps to go, the peloton reeled the break in, but T Mobile and Saturn were aggressive and launched one attack after another.

The lasting break of 3 containing Teutenberg (Saturn), Barry (T Mobile) and xxx.  The peloton was only 5 seconds behind the break but they held off.
