Trent Morey – Tour of Borneo

Kelly Cycle Coaching athlete, Trent Morey did his first block of international racing with Plan B cycling team during April-May 2012.

Trent flew to Malaysia and competed in the Tour of Borneo. This race consisted of 5 stages over 760km.

The 4th stage was by far the toughest covering 214km.

Borneo was a tour for the climbers

Trent found himself in a break on the final day with team mate, Luke Joyce.  On this final stage, Luke finished on the podium in 2nd place, whilst Trent came in 5th.  A great result Trent to get into a break and get a top 10 result.

Tour of Azerbaijan

After a week of recovery in Malaysia, Plan B flew to Iran, to compete in the Tour of Azerbaijan.  This 6 stage race covered over 920km.

Trent raced well for stages 1 to 4, finishing in the bunch kick on Stage 4.  On Stage 5, Trent blew up on the climb and was unable to finish within the time limit.  Well done Trent on your first international racing experience.
