Long weekend training

Kelly Cycle Coaching is organising two training rides over the long weekend.  The weather forecast looks reasonable but always check the weather and look at the radar.  We will ride if there are only scattered showers but please remember to bring a rain jacket.  The weekend rides are as follows:

Sunday 12 June – Junior ride
This ride is tailored for our U15 and U17 riders.  Bob and Helen will be riding with this group, and where necessary we will split into two groups during the ride to do specific intervals and skills. 

Location: Macleod (17 McNamara St)
Time: 8am (approx 3.5hr ride)

What to bring:

  • Two drink bottles,
  • 3 pieces of food (muesli bar, sandwich, picklets, etc)
  • Two tubes and a pump (there are no bike shops where we ride!!)
  • Adequate warm clothing (ie leg or knee warmers, long sleeved jersey, or arm warmers, jersey and vest, gloves, etc).
  • $10 in case we stop for a drink

Monday 13 June – Senior ride
This ride is tailored for our CharterMason team, masters and elite riders.  Bob will be following behind this group in the van.  All riders will be wired up before the ride to assist with training drills throughout the ride.

Location: Macleod (17 McNamara St)
Time: 8am (approx 5hr ride). There is an option for an earlier turn around for those unable to do the complete loop.

What to bring:

  • Two drink bottles
  • 4-5 pieces of food (muesli bar, sandwich, picklets, etc)
  • Two tubes and a pump 
  • Adequate warm clothing (ie leg or knee warmers, long sleeved jersey, or arm warmers, jersey and vest, gloves, etc).
  • $20 in case you need to stop for more food!
