Metro & Country Champs – Info

Kelly Cycle Coaching will be at the Metro and Country Championships in Harcourt, this weekend.

  • Tents and chairs will be set up for all athletes so please bring your bike and bag to the tent as soon as you arrive.
  • Remember your license.  Go to registration after you arrive, and put on your frame and jersey numbers.
  • Make sure you eat a banana, picklets or sandwich in the car before you arrive or for those racing at lunch time, have a sandwich/pasta about 1hr15min before your race start
  • Bring food and drink for after your race
  • Remember to bring at least 2 electrolyte and 1 water bottle.  All athletes need an electrolyte drink during your race and immediately after your race to aid in recovery.
  • Also remember to pack race food (muesli bars, gels, fruit cake wrapped in foil, sanwich cut into 4 and individually wrapped losely in foil)
  • Bring warm clothing as the temperature forecast is 4C-14C (we’ll have oil for your legs if you need it)
