Luckily the Country Track Champs were held at DISC on the weekend, given the rain that soaked all of Victoria over the weekend.

With State and National Championships still a long way off, there were some solid performances over the weekend, showing that consistent training does pay off.

Full results are not yet posted on the CSV site so based on our ‘post weekend’ memory, (so our apologies for any inaccuracies) here are some results from the weekend:

Harry Bade	3rd Individual Pursuit, 3rd TT, 2nd Scratch race
Monica Kelly	1st Individual Pursuit, 2nd TT, 1st Scratch race
Mark Kelly	6th Individual Pursuit, 5th Scratch race
Liam White	2nd Individual Pursuit, 5th Scratch race
Emma Bilston	1st in Individual Pursuit, Time Trial, Scratch and Sprints
Emily Wordie Thompson	1st Individual Pursuit, 2nd in Time Trial, Scratch and Sprints
Ashley Gillespi	11th Individual Pursuit, 10th Time Trial

Other athletes and sibblings of our athletes who will helped throughout the weekend included Nic White (Liam’s bro) who picked up 3 bronze medals, Angus Lyons 4th in the Individual Pursuit, 5th Scratch race.  Another young Ballarat rider, Patrick Cosgrove unfortunately had a fall in the Scratch race but bounced back to contest the sprints in the afternoon.

More action coming as we head back to DISC this coming weekend, for the Metro Track Championships for all our Melbourne based athletes.
